        Eclipse is a former herd bull that we are still currently using in our AI program.  We have always liked the look of his calves and his progeny has withstood the test of time.  We believe that Eclipse females are among the best in the Maine-Anjou breed.  He is in the Top 2% for Milk EPD in the breed, and with the carcass EPD's we have even more belief that his progeny are the right kind.  According to the carcass EPD's he is the #3 bull in the breed for Marbling, and is the #2 bull in the breed for Percent Retail Cuts.  As for the other carcass traits he is in the 25% for Fat Thickness and top 50% for REA.  If you look at our Embryo Program, 7 of the 10 cows that we used in embryo transplant were Eclipse daughters.  This is no accident, his females just get the job done.  We have just begun breeding our Angus and Mainetainer females to Eclipse, and the results appear to be more great females.  We currently have semen available on Eclipse, so contact us if you are interested.
